Why Go Vegan, a new Community Interest Company formed this year to provide free educational resources to promote veganism and the benefits of plant-based lifestyles, has launched its first crowdfunder in April to help raise money to create its first educational assets and resources. The website www.whygovegan.org.uk is set to go live June 1st, and the new 30 day vegan challenge goes live July 1st 2025, and funds raised during April and May will go towards creating and promoting these assets, along with some bright new flyers that are being distributed in the run up to the launch of the 30 day challenge.

‘The new website will be packed full of information and resources about why people choose to go vegan as well as help and advice on how to go vegan. People will be able to sign up for our 30-day vegan challenge from the website when it goes live on June 1st, and then the challenge starts on July 1st with a daily email covering different aspects of the vegan philosophy and the benefits of plant-based living. A successful crowdfunder will help enable these new assets as well as help promote them across the UK.’

The website will also carry a full list of regional vegan festivals, fayres and markets, social gatherings and other vegan related events, as well as a comprehensive directory of vegan artists, musicians, comedians and performing artistes, plus independent traders, vegan campaigns groups and CIC’s and animal sanctuaries. In short, a one stop collective of some of the best of the UK vegan communities and activities going on around the country every week.

‘The 30-day challenge not only helps people educate themselves about the benefits of plant-based lifestyles, what’s happening to animals, the animal rights position and numerous other aspects of veganism, but it also feeds back into the broader UK vegan community, encouraging participants to get active on their local communities and get involved. The UK has some terrific local groups and initiatives and the Why Go Vegan 30-day challenge and other resources will help foster further engagement and participation at a time when additional input will be really valued.’
