Animal Sanctuaries play a vital role in the global vegan community, providing shelter and respite from the industrial animal agricultural killing machine that sees so many billions of individuals killed at a young age for pleasure. Animal Sanctuaries provide not only shelter for survivors of this mass killing, but they also provide an opportunity for humans to reconnect with other animals and help to heal our broken relationship with them. Time spent at an animal sanctuary helping out as a volunteer is rewarding on multiple levels and heartily recommended.
